The lady server was friendly and explained how to order choose a broth and a meat. Simple. Thats it. So we chose Original and Spicy Pork broth as well as XL ribeye and L fatty belly yes, we were hungry. The portions are large and we were so full from the meal. Fresh veggies and tofu!!! The owner checked up on us a couple times and was so friendly. This is now our go to spot for shabu shabu in the OC!!! ”

“ First time at Mokkoji Shabu Shabu. We were seated right away and had a great experience during lunch. The presentation was excellent and the atmosphere was very good. The food preparation area and the hot pots were nice and clean. I ordered the beef brisket and my wife ordered the salmon. The vegetables were nicely arranged and tofu blocks were even branded. As an added plus, the brisket was premarinaded I havent seen that at other shabu diners. The peanut sauce dip was delicious. Steven, our server, was very helpful and responsive. “ Nice and clean store. They check your temperature before you get in. Arrived around 5PM and it wasnt crowded at all. I chose the sukiyaki broth with Toro fat belly best combination. Price is acceptable. Will coming back! ”
